During the start of my observation week, I observed that the teaching method that they implement is project-based learning. In this method, my cooperating teacher is focused on providing students with hands-on learning, collaborative learning, and problem-solving activities through real-world experiences. For example, one of my cooperating teachers is an English teacher. The topic is about the things in the classroom, wherein she uses actual objects to show the students an example, and the students also show their objects if they bring them to the classroom, where they are able to learn and master the topic through hands-on learning.

Moreover, I also observed from one of my cooperating teachers that before starting the class, she always starts it with a song. This method is effective in catching students' attention and boosting their motivation during the lesson.

Furthermore, when it comes to the learning materials, my cooperating teacher uses the traditional method of writing on the board. Although they sometimes used a projector and a PowerPoint presentation, the teachers want the students to practice their writing skills through the traditional method. Since the school is under renovation, some of the classrooms have no board, so the teachers write on the tile wall, which is an innovative way of teaching that does not stop teachers and students from learning.

Also, my cooperating teacher provides printed materials for the student’s assessment. Other than this, the teacher also asks the students to recite as a form of assessment so that teachers will not only know how much they learn but also that students can practice their speaking skills.
