WELCOMING OF UNIVERSITAS HALU OLEO

Touchdown Kendari, Indonesia! 🇮🇩 When we arrived on September 2, 2023, in Kendari, Indonesia, we went to our partnering school, which is the Universitas Halu Oleo. My friends and newly found friends took a rest in our dormitory, and a few hours later we went grocery shopping to buy food and essential things we needed in our dormitory.
Monday, September 4, 2023, when Universitas Halu Oleo started their first day of school. As an exchange student together with my co-participants, our coordinator asked us to go to the Faculty of Education to be introduced and welcomed almost 1,800 freshmen students. We were introduced to the dean and vice dean, as well as to the lecturers.
After that, we introduced ourselves in front of the freshmen education students. I was nervous and excited at the same time, but the faculty of education and the students were looking forward to meeting us even before we arrived, so they gave us a warm welcome.
After the ceremony, we went to meet with the Dean and other lecturers to have an orientation about our practicum school, in which I was assigned to go to SD Katolik Pelangi.
